About Me

Shamefully I haven’t updated this page for a long time. (Over a year to be exact – shock, horror!!) I thought it’s about time I scrap the last ‘about me’ page and type up a new one.

I’m 21 years old and living in Wales in the UK. I’ve been into blogging now for roughly 7 years fluttering between various blogging sites such as livejournal, blogger and landed with Wordpress. As soon as I started using Wordpress I fell in love with it, and when a good friend gave me server space so I could host one of my other sites, I set up my own little blog and haven’t looked back since! =) This blog was originally called ‘Random musings of an Ancient Teen’, and when I reached 20 I wasn’t sure what to do with the title – first off I wasn’t a teen anymore, but then people were saying I should keep the name as it would be kind of ironic. In the end I decided to change it to ‘Random usings; Her Thoughts. Her Actions. Her Life.’ I think the title of the blog says it all in a nutshell. =)

This is my personal blog, where I talk about anything and everything that enters my head. All aspects of my life from family and pets, to work and volunteering, college and hobbies. Photography and web design. Sometimes I talk about, local regional and national news, TV, cinema. Anything goes! =)

Anyway I’ll let you know a bit more about me. As said I’m 21 year old female living in Wales. I’m currently in college studying my A Levels in Chemistry, Biology and Psychology. I used to work full time in a Sheltered Housing complex for the frail elderly but when I started college I had to dramatically reduce my hours.

I live at home with my dad, 3 gerbils (Snap, Crackle and Pop), and a puppy named Toby, who is a Jack Russell/Corgi cross. I have a boyfriend named Jim, I’ve been with him for about 7 months now and he makes me so happy. Unfortunately we live 170 miles apart but we see each other regularly and they say absence makes the heart grow fonder, and it’s true. =)

As for hobbies well I’ve got to say, between work and studying I don’t really get much time these days!! =( I try to keep on top of things though and the favourite past time is volunteering for the British Red Cross. I do first aid at public events, emergency response and casualty simulation (play dead at training courses, well not play dead, just hurt or unwell =) ) I also enjoy photography, and have taken many photos.
